Nuby Easy Grip Bottle Brush Review

I was so excited a few months ago when I got picked to be a Nuby Mommy Blogger.  This was a great opportunity for me to try out some awesome baby products and write-up a few reviews for you guys.  Nuby shipped me a handful of products to test out and now that Owen has finally arrived I can start writing up my reviews!

Mommy-Blogger-Badge_zpsf91d5324

First up is the Nuby Easy Grip Bottle Brush.  I decided a few months before I had Owen that I was going to bottle feed him so I knew that I needed to stock up on bottle brushes.  I have tried a ton over the years and was excited to test out the Nuby Easy Grip Bottle Brush (one that I never tried in the past).  I am pretty impressed with it.

nubybrush1I must wash at least 8-10 bottles a day and the sponge tip has held up beautifully.  When I used other brushes in the past, the sponge brush usually falls apart after just a few days.  This one has lasted for quite some time and does not crumble.  I also love the convenient nipple brush that stores right inside of the brush.

Not only does this bottle brush work great on Owen’s bottles but I also use them on the boys sippy cups!

Here’s some more information from Nuby:

The new Easy Grip Bottle Brush by Nuby features a soft, textured handle, which ensures that you maintain a secure and comfortable grip when brush is in use.  An added Nipple Brush conveniently stores inside the handle when not in use.  The looped handle on top provides for easy hanging.  Both brushes have soft, durable nylon bristles to sweep away residue easily. There is even a sponge tip to clean hard-to-reach areas!

You can find the Nuby Easy Grip Bottle Brush at these retailers:

Make sure that you follow Nuby on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter for information on all of the awesome baby products.

Stay tuned to the blog for more reviews!

I am writing this post as part of the NUBY Mommy Blogger Program. I did not receive compensation for this review but I did receive sample products.  All of the opinions stated above are my own.

Belly Pictures

I was looking through all of my pictures the other day from my pregnancy and I still can’t believe that I was carrying around a baby over 10lbs.  I thought I would put all of my stomach pictures together in one post to show everyone how large my stomach grew.  I still look like I am about 7 months pregnant and I know that this 3rd {and final} pregnancy destroyed my stomach. It’s going to take me months {probably years} to get it back in shape.  I will be joining Weight Watchers again soon and I hope to document my progress on here. I just need to get in the right frame of mind. Oh and 6 weeks later I am still trying to get my head above water with this 3 kid thing!

Here are the pictures of my belly from 13 weeks to delivery day!  Yes I know towards the end I wore the same 3 shirts but I was so big that they were the only ones that actually covered my stomach!!!

So not only am I lucky enough to have some of the best friends in town but they are also very talented!  As I have talked about in the past my good friend Jennifer is a pretty awesome photographer.  About two years ago she started her own business Photography by Jen Davis.  And boy has she taken off like crazy around central NJ.

I was lucky enough to have Jen photograph Owen in the hospital for her new Fresh 48 sessions.  Take a look at those awesome pictures here

Then a few days later she came out to the house to take some more pictures of Owen and his older brothers.  I have been saving the pictures until my Christmas cards went out but now that they are all delivered I thought I would post some photos online!

Baby Update – Weeks 37, 38 & 39

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know that I am really behind on my baby updates and postings.  I just haven’t had a moment to sit back and relax let alone type up a post or two (or three).  It’s been crazy around here with prepping for baby, doctors appointments, school and of course Thanksgiving!  So I thought while my husband is downstairs watching Star Wars with the boys I would type up something quickly before the turkey festivities start.

Number of Weeks: 39 weeks, 2 days

Week 37

IMG_2485

Week 38

38 Weeks

Week 39

39 Weeks  39 Weeks2

Yes, I know that I have worn the same shirt multiple times in pictures but 99% of my clothes don’t cover my belly anymore so I am forced to wash and wear the same few shirts over and over again. I refuse to spend anymore money on maternity wear!

Doctor Updates:  I am all done with my doctor visits!  I had my very last one on Monday.  For the past four weeks I have gone and had my NST done.  It’s basically a little test to see if the baby passes all of the basics (heart rate, fetal movement, amniotic fluid, etc).  Thankfully each and every week my numbers were great!  There was one week that they needed me to drink some juice to get the baby moving but once I did he was perfect!  Last week it took forever to get the heartbeat on the monitor. He moves around so freaking much that they can never find it.  Once they do find it, he moves around and it’s another 5 minutes of searching for his position.

But I don’t have to go back anymore since I am all scheduled for my c-section!  I was really hoping to go into labor before Thanksgiving but no such luck.

How I am Feeling:  I have been feeling okay the past few weeks. The pain has been tolerable and my contractions really aren’t that bad.  They are just uncomfortable and sometimes annoying.  I always get one when I am in the car driving so it makes my car trips into an adventure!  Only one or two nights (including last night) did I think that the baby might be ready.  I was having pretty regular contractions for a bit.  I started to get a little excited and nervous and I repacked my hospital bag but then NOTHING.   Oh well. He will be here soon enough.

Baby Names:  I think that we are finally settled on a name! It still could change after we see the little man but I think we are set! I will share with you all soon!

Baby Stuff: Did I mention yet that I have the best mom in the world? Look what she bought the baby for Christmas.  She bought me the baby the MamaRoo chair.  I am obsessed with this thing!  It mimics so many different things like a car ride, kangaroo bounce, etc.  It’s awesome!

The Other Boys: The boys have been very busy the past few weeks with school, birthday parties, karate and soccer.  Sean finished his soccer two weeks ago and can’t wait for it to start back up again! Here’s his adorable picture.

unnamed

Ben earned a new belt in karate a few weeks ago and is working hard to test for another one before Christmas.  I am so thankful that he has found something that he loves to do.  Oh he also had his school pictures done a few weeks ago.  I can’t help but laugh at this one.  His glasses are all messed up and it makes him look so silly (but still adorably cute and handsome).  I will probably order the Spring pictures this year.  As much as I love this picture of him, it just doesn’t capture him at all.   I need my good friend Jen and photographer (Photography by Jen Davis) to get some pics of these boys soon!!! I need some more natural ones!!!  I mean come on they couldn’t just check his hair and glasses?

IMG_2433

The boys are starting to get really excited about the baby too.  Every morning Ben walks into my room and says XX more days until baby. It’s so cute!!  He can’t wait to be a big brother again.  I don’t think Sean truly gets it yet.  But he will.  They have also been asking a lot of questions about the baby. They want to know if he will have a belly button. They want to know if he already has his heart and of course the big one how is the doctor getting him out? I have had to answer a lot of questions in creative ways so I don’t scar them for life!

Well this is my last update until after he arrives! I will definitely post on my Facebook page before I have time to type up a post!

Oh I do have one other thing that I have ready for when the baby arrives!

unnamed (2)

Well it’s time to finish up my food prep for Turkey day and yes, I feel like I am the stuffed turkey today! But I will be the only one that will be super comfortable in my stretchy maternity pants!!!  Jealous??

Happy Thanksgiving!

Baby Update – Week 36

I only have 4 weeks left until my due date! That’s less than 30 days guys.  I can’t believe that we are finally getting so close to the end of this pregnancy and in about 4 weeks I will be holding my little guy.

Number of Weeks: 36 Weeks

36 weeks

Doctor Updates: I went to the doctor today for my weekly check-up and everything looks good.  Weight and blood pressure are still good – even though that scale keeps on rising! This is the heaviest that I have been ever in my life – oh well.  I did have to get hooked up to the fetal monitor to check the baby.  Not because something is wrong but because of my age they do this every week for the last month just to keep an eye on the little guy.  He is doing great.  His heart is beating very strong and he was moving all around.  I did get to see him again on the u/s and he is still a boy! He was showing off his goods the entire time.  The doctor said that I was having some contractions during the 15 minutes test.  I couldn’t feel a thing so they must be pretty minor. He told me to keep an eye out and call if they are 7 minutes or less!  I go back again next week.

How I’m Feeling: Crappy! I am tired, my feet hurt, my back hurts and my stomach and all of it’s muscles are in excruciating pain.  I am just ready to meet this little man and snuggle up with him OUTSIDE of my body! It’s been a very long pregnancy and I would not mind if he arrived a little early … just saying!

Names: Still no final decision but it’s been narrowed down to two.

Delivery Date: My c-section is all scheduled and now we just have to wait!

Baby Update – Weeks 34 & 35

Wow, here we are just five weeks left until my due date! It feels like the longest pregnancy ever but we are getting to the end guys.  I’m now 35 weeks and only 35 days left until my due date!

Number of Weeks: 35 Weeks

Here I am last week at 34 weeks

photo (1)

and then today at 35 weeks

35 weeks

The type of shirt you wear can really change the picture. I look soooo much bigger in the green shirt from last week.  UGH.

How I’m Feeling: I have good days and bad days but right now the bad outweigh the good.  Today I am having trouble walking around.  The baby is laying is such a way that it’s causing me a lot of pain.  Tomorrow he will switch it up and I won’t be able to breath {but I will be able to walk}.  This kid better be one calm, relaxed and laid back infant after all the pain I’m feeling now!  I am at the point now that if I eat anything I am in so much pain for the next 4 hours.  It’s almost not worth eating.  Listen I said almost people, I’m not that crazy!  I did spy some yummy snacks while shopping at BJs yesterday! Perfect little pick me up for the afternoons with Sean!

photo (2)

My Wardrobe: My maternity clothes are barely fitting now.  The pants fall down and the shirts are too short. It’s a beautiful sight! I’ve given up on all fashion and I am now in the jeans, t-shirt and Uggs phase of this pregnancy!  I did finally go and buy some new maternity PJs. They still aren’t perfect but I bought whatever the maternity store was selling.  I want something presentable for the hospital.

Doctor Updates:  I went last week for my latest checkup.  My weight and BP are still good according to my doctor.  The baby is starting to measure bigger now {no big surprise here – I have large babies}.  I will go back again on Tuesday {and weekly visits after that}.  My next visit they will start weekly monitoring of the baby.  I guess it’s like a stress test or fetal monitoring that they do because of my “advanced” age.  Hot dog! See it’s fun having a baby over the age of 35! So many more tests and ultrasounds!

Ready for Delivery: So I have the hospital bag and diaper bag pretty much packed.  I will have to throw in some last minute items {like my charger and camera} but I am pretty much set.  I’m being a little realistic with the birth this time.  I have never, ever gone early.  My c-sections were always at 39 weeks and I never felt a contraction! But… this time around is so much different.  I have had so many other issues, pains, cramps, etc. I feel like there could be a chance that this baby tries to break out before his planned birthday!  So I want to have everything ready just in case.

The room is ready, the diapers/wipes are ready, the bassinet is all set up and ready in my bedroom and the swing is just waiting for the little man.  The only thing left to do is set up the pack and play on the first floor and install the carseat.  Those things can wait until right before I have this guy.  Of course I should probably put Ben in the third row of the swagger wagon soon so he gets used to sitting back there.  I’m just not prepared for the fight with Sean over why Ben get’s to sit back there and he doesn’t!

I have the baby’s coming home outfit all ironed and ready to go.  My boys each wore a striped Ralph Lauren outfit so of course I had to pick up a new one for this little guy!

Ben is in the yellow/blue and Sean is in the green/blue.  This little man’s outfit will be red/blue combo.

DSCN2299   IMG_1957

I even have all three boys Christmas outfits all ready to go for pictures!  I told you that I am shopping early and getting everything done!  Now if I could just get motivated enough to finish with the Christmas shopping!

Alright, so that’s my latest baby update! I hope to blog soon about the boys and some of their latest adventures! I need to just sit down and type! Maybe tonight I will try if I don’t pass out before 10pm!

Baby Update: Weeks 32 & 33

So I am really behind on my blogging lately but it has taken a backseat because I am just too darn tired to type people.  When the kids are at school I am either catching up on all of the housework, shopping or I’m sleeping.  I honestly am not in the mood to type.  And when the kids are home from school they command my attention 100%.  Sean is into anything and everything lately.  If I turn my head for a second its trouble. The other night I gave him a bath and as I was hanging up the towels he snuck into the powder room and dumped half a bottle of bath and body works soap on his head because he wanted to wash his hair again.  It took forever getting the hand soap out of his hair. UGH.  On Sunday when I was folding laundry he went into my bathroom {he said he had to go} but he really just opened up my drawer and destroyed about a weeks worth of contact lenses by opening up the packages and dumping them into the trash.  Thank goodness I have daily lenses but they are not cheap.

Ben has also been acting up like I mentioned a few weeks ago.  He is still very hyper and a little to wound up.  When Sean gets that way I know how to get him to calm down — just give him a job or a project to work on.  With Ben there’s no answer.  He just goes on little rampages whether it’s hitting, stomping on feet or just acting like a crazed little boy.

So as you can see I have my hands full these past few weeks. I thought that once I had them in school I would be able to catch a little break but that hasn’t happened yet.  Oh and in case you forgot Christmas is right around the corner and that means CRAZY KIDS! Ahhhhh!!!

Number of Weeks: 33 Weeks, 7 to go! 49 days until my official due date.  That’s less than 50 people!

Here’s my 32 week photo – all dressed up for a wedding! My belly arrived to the wedding about an hour before the rest of my body.

32 weeks

And now here’s my 33 week photo

photo

Doctor Updates:  I went to my doctor last week for my appointment.  All is well with the little man. His heart is beating strong, he is moving around like a little gymnast. The doctor always has a hard time with the heartbeat because he is constantly tossing around.  As if he had to tell me that, I can feel it for myself doc! I have gained almost 30lbs already.  My goal was no more than 35lbs but I think I might top that again this pregnancy! 7 weeks and usually a pound a week. UGH.  But I am starting to get full a little quicker now that I have no more room in my stomach so maybe that will help slow things down a bit.  But you know what, who really cares. If I gain 25, 35 or 45lbs it will be okay.  I will find a way to get it off again.  I did it before and I will do it again.  As long as this little guy and myself are healthy screw the extra pounds. I deserve that chocolate peanut butter ice cream dammit!

Oh sorry about that little rant, back to my doctor updates! We are healthy and doing well.  I go back again next week.  Then I believe I will start going weekly until my c-section.

How I’m Feeling:  I am feeling blah! Some days I cannot function at all.  There was one day last week that I was feeling a little tired and out of it.  Then at the bus stop Sean took off around the block and I had to run and chase him.  Yes, it was not pretty and I am sure the waddling run was quite attractive. But I caught him and then I couldn’t move for another day and a half.   My muscles are very week and they just gave out and caused enormous amounts of pain — especially since there was a baby pushing down on them.  When I feel like this I just have to sit and not move for hours and hours at a time.  Now could someone please share that with my two boys who still need to go to karate, get their homework done, eat dinner, get their baths and go to bed?  I will say that I kicked butt at story time this week!!!  I read at least 20 books over those two days!

Names:  The stocking has been ordered! Okay I lied, two stockings have been ordered.  We have narrowed it down to two names.  I had to order the stockings because they were on sale {yeah} and I had an additional coupon {hell yeah!}. So I just ordered two.  I will just sell whichever one we don’t end up using.

Delivery Date:  It’s coming up soon people!  I will tell you that it’s 7 weeks or less!

Alright I guess that’s it for now.  Still just trucking along until baby!

Baby Update – Week 30

Wow, I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged in a week.  I am seriously slacking lately.  The kids have been in school for two weeks now and you may be asking what am I doing with my free time? Well it’s been filled up with doctors appointments, trips to Shop Rite and I have even squeezed in a few moms only playdates!  I have also been busy trying to keep this house clean.  Of course I don’t last long with the cleaning or the shopping since it is really hard for me to do a lot of walking.  I still have a lot of pain when I walk or lift anything {that means you Sean when you have your tantrums}.  I am really trying to take it easy but it’s hard.  I will admit that two days I did just put Ben on the bus, drove Sean to school and I came home and napped!!!  It was glorious.  But I have been at several doctors appointments and I hate spending my free time at the doctors!  Oh well at least I don’t have to drag a kid or two along with me.

Number of Weeks: 30 Weeks, 10 to go!

image

image

Doctor Updates:  Like I mentioned above I have spent at least 6 days sitting in doctors offices.  I have had 2 OBGYN appts, 1 hospital appt for my Rhogam shot and 3 cardiologist appointments.  It’s been a busy two weeks {not to mention Sean’s 4 year check up and tomorrow both boys have their dentist appointments}.  Thankfully everything seems to be moving along smoothly with the pregnancy.  I did have my cardiologist appointment and my echocardiogram last week.  Thankfully the doctor said my heart looks good.  I do have a murmur but other than that everything seems to be ticking fine.  What a relief. I still have to go back after I have this baby to make sure that I don’t have any fluid on my lungs like I did after I had my c-section with Sean.  But at least as of right now everything is good.

I had my OB appointment yesterday and everything still looks good.  I don’t like the number on the scale but what can I do, the baby is growing and I can’t complain about that.  He is a good size and not big at all {unlike Ben and Sean at this point}. So I may actually have a “normal” sized baby! We shall see.  Who wants to start taking bets on the weight? Ben was 9lbs 8ozs and Sean was 9lbs 20zs! I am guessing that this guy will be 8lbs 8ozs.

Alright that’s it for now. Like I said these are going to be short and sweet for the next few weeks!!!!

Baby Update – Week 29

Yes, I know, I am a day late with this week’s update but we have been super busy with back to school stuff and other little things so this is going to be a quick one.  Tonight is back to school night for Ben’s school. I am looking forward to hearing a little bit more about his day!

Okay here’s a short and sweet update!

Number of Weeks: 29 Weeks

photo

Doctor Updates: I went last week for my OB appointment and everything is going well.  The little guy is head down and kicking the crap out of me.  But my doctor thinks that this is going to be my smallest baby yet!  Ben was 9lbs 8ozs and Sean was 9lbs 2ozs.  Is it possible that I have an 8 pounder? I don’t know what to do with small babies!!!

I also had my Rhogam shot done at the hospital last week.  It didn’t take too long to get the bloodwork back and I had my shot done and was out of there in a little over an hour!  Thank goodness because it’s pretty boring sitting in a hospital cafeteria.

I had my echocardiogram on Monday to check on the old ticker! I meet with the doctor on Friday to review the results. Fingers crossed all is well. I have been breathing a lot easier {well except for last night} but I have been feeling better.

Classes: So Joey and I took the boys to the hospital on Saturday for a sibling class.  It was cute but a little overpriced I think.  The class was also pretty big so it was hard for the boys to stay focused.  The teacher read them a book or two, they showed off their own baby pictures, made cards for the baby and put a diaper on their stuffed animals.  They also practiced swaddling their stuffed animals before we all went upstairs to the maternity floor.  They got to check out the floor and a room.  They even got to peek in the nursery and see a baby!  Overall it was a cute class, but $30 a kid was a bit much!

Names: Still no final name yet.  I don’t think that we are going to share now until after he arrives but I think we are down to the final three.

Delivery Date: I have my delivery date scheduled but I’m still not telling you!

Alright like I said, a short update this week {and probably until the baby arrives}.  There’s not much new going on — which is a good thing.

Baby Update – Week 28

Well as you have read, the past two days have been pretty emotional for me but very exciting for the kids.  They are both officially back to school.  I can’t believe it.  I will be writing a quick post for tomorrow on how everyone’s first days went!  It’s a pretty exciting time around here!  But now onto the baby update!

Number of Weeks: 28 Weeks – Welcome to the 3rd Trimester

IMG_1708

Doctor Updates:  Tomorrow I am headed to Maternal Fetal Medicine to get my Rhogam shot bright and early in the morning.  On Friday I head on over to my OB appointment for my bi-weekly appointment and then on Monday I head back to the cardiologist for my echo cardiogram.  Fun times!  But I am officially in the 3rd trimester! The last one, the end of this pregnancy is near.

How I’m Feeling: I am finally feeling a lot better.  I can breath again and I don’t have any more headaches.  The only issue now is soreness but that’s going to happen.  Some days I can barely put my pants on but I had this with Ben so I know what to expect.

Shopping: I think that I am officially done buying baby things.  I have everything that I need {minus a few little things that I can pick up when he arrives}.  I have diapers, wipes, binkies, bottles, all the necessary gear and bedding.  I think I am going to be ready {shopping wise} when he makes his appearance in 12 weeks!

Names: Still no final name yet.  I don’t think that we are going to share now until after he arrives! It might be kept a secret just like the date of his birth!  I am evil, I know.

Delivery Date: I have my delivery date scheduled but I’m still not telling you!  The countdown is on.

Okay that’s all for now. These last few weeks are going to be boring {hopefully}. There’s not much else to share! But I will continue to post my updates because I want a record of my weekly belly shots and anything else that may be going on. Oh and since both boys are back in school this mama is going to spend about 3 1/2 hours a day doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!  So I am off for my last 1/2 hour of doing nothing!  I’ll have another post coming later today with Sean’s back to school pictures!  Stay tuned….
