We Are Expanding!

So yesterday I shared some exciting news with you. Yes, it’s true. Baby #3 will be arriving into our household at the end of November.  My actual due date is December 3rd but in the past I have never made it past 39 weeks and at my 12 week u/s I was already measuring 5 days ahead. So I am 99% sure this baby will make his/her appearance in November.

So let me get you all caught up on the latest and greatest.

The News: I found out that I was pregnant the last week of April. It was a nice little surprise!

Number of Weeks: 13 weeks {here’s my 13 week picture}.  There’s no hiding it anymore.  I really popped this past week.

Physical: I am exhausted! This pregnancy has really been different than my other two. From day one I’ve had issues. Facial numbness, fibroid pain, horrible headaches and bad skin.  It’s been a crazy ride so far but will be worth it in the end! Plus the boys can be pretty exhausting! It’s going to be a long, long summer!

Emotional:  I am very, very, very nervous about having 3 kids in our townhouse but we will make it work somehow. I mean people live in much smaller homes with a lot more kids. I am also a little stressed because the boys are going through a rough patch with behavior so I am a little worried about that dynamic.

Sex of the Baby: So we are definitely going to find this out. I mean we did for the other two so we might as well again. I need to know if this little person coming into our house is going to need pink or blue clothes.   Now I actually got one of the new genetic screenings done this past week so I should know the sex of the baby any day now.  I don’t have to wait until the 20 week u/s.   I guess that is one of the perks of being over 35 and having a baby.

The Boys:  We just shared the news with them this past weekend.  Ben looked a little nervous but Sean seemed pretty excited.  Ben asked me to open my mouth so he could talk to the baby and he already picked a blanket from his collection to give to him/her.   Thank goodness they have been doing pretty well in their new bedroom.  The only issue is in the morning when one gets up at 5:30am, they are both up! But other than that it hasn’t been to bad. I just have to put them down separately to avoid chaos. Plus they are already calling Ben’s old bedroom the “baby’s room”.

Names: We have  not really talked about too many yet.  I think that since we are going to find out the sex any day now, we might as well wait so we don’t have to talk about boy names if it’s a girl and vice versa!

Delivery: Of course, I will be having a 3rd c-section and I am quite nervous.  I don’t do well with surgery – the last c-section I had an anxiety attack right after my spinal.  It wasn’t pretty!  But there’s no turning back now!

So what do you guys think? Boy or Girl?  I will share the news with you hopefully by the end of this week {or very early next week}.
